(FLASHBACK) : The 'Tormented (2009)' 10th Anniversary in Redcarpetmonochrome

For no reason I could ever determine, not then nor now, when I posted this journal (in colour, with commentary) back in 2009 on Redbubble, it soon became by far my most-viewed. I don’t know why. There were no huge stars, the movie was in no way anticipated or hyped…. the journal just got a lot of views.

Accordingly, I remember this movie a lot more… erm… “fondly” than 99% of what I’m guessing is 0.00001% of people who’ve even heard of, let alone seen, this small British horror/slasher film.

Here goes nothing!

So… that was that. Again, I have no idea why this premiere journal originally got so many views. But hey, who knows… I’ll take journal views wherever I can get them. For posterity’s sake, the original journal is here.

Until next time!

(FLASHBACK) : The 'Star Trek (2009)' 10th Anniversary in RedCarpetMonochrome

Back in 2009, Star Trek had been a silent franchise for many years, its last two Next-Gen movies highly unsatisfying and the TV Series Enterprise, while having a fantastic final season, had so few viewers by that stage that it was cancelled. Star Wars was still silent in hibernation, waiting for either a kindly mouse to wake it (or for a voracious rodent to feast upon it)…. and then, to skepticism, a reboot of Star Trek was released.

For better or worse, its success kind of changed a lot of things. Personally, I loved this film, but came to dislike what it became with its sequels, and what it meant for that franchise, and also that “other” one, still slumbering in its cave…

But for its 10th Anniversary, here’s a Redcarpetmonochrome journal - no comments, just photos. The World Premiere might have been in my hometown of Sydney, but the roadshow still came to London. Here’s how it went down:

So… that was that. The original journal is here, the sequel’s journal (Star Trek Into Darkness) is here, and the third and final film (Star Trek Beyond) is here. And now… I guess there’s still Star Trek Discovery, and that Picard series they’ve announced.
