24 Sep - The "Wicked" 10th Anniversary

Tuesday, September 24th, 2016.

Despite having photographed the Oliver Awards in 2014, and again in 2015, and once again this year in 2016.... AND the 2015 Evening Standard Theatre Awards ... this website is testimony to the fact that I'm more a movies person than a theatre person.

But this website is also testimony to the fact that I'll photograph any event when it takes place. And today I quickly shifted from Premiere mode ('Urban Hymns' at the Curzon Mayfair) to Theatre Event mode when the opportunity presented itself. And, with thanks to : Alexcatalps on flickr (for telling me about the event), the wicked-cool people at "Wicked" (who gave me access to the event), fellow photographers (who encouraged me), and finally the exceedingly nice staff of Grays of Westminster for their assistance (both photographically and otherwise)....

... here's how it went down:

Blurry lens bokeh, therefore 'Art'. And this is Serious Art this time. This is Theatre.

"See you for the 20th!"

"See you for the 20th!"

So... that was that, then. Apologies for the incompleteness : it's really late, I'm really tired, and I'm also fairly clueless where theatre is concerned. I'll see what my worldwide sources can do about filling in some of the gaps and searching through my photos for anyone I might have missed.

In the meantime, it'll be a rare Theatre Entry into the Archive of (Usually) Movie Premieres.

Until Next Time!

ps. if you want to know whenever I post a new premiere journal, feel free to follow me on twitter @berndt2_photo or on facebook by clicking here . You can also share this journal, comment on it below, or invite me to photograph your evening of cool cultural celebration if you want!
