three premieres in three days!

July 14th

Excitingly, after a bit of a three-week hiatus followed by one premiere per week for a fortnight (Absolutey Fabulous the first week, The Legend of Tarzan in the second), this most recent week featured THREE premieres in THREE days:

The first was a Sunday premiere for 'Finding Dory' - attended by Ellen DeGeneres, partner Portia DeRossi (I remember Ally McBeal probably a bit more fondly than I should be admitting), and director Andrew Stanton

"What movie am I here to promote? Can't remember, but I'm cool with the short term memory loss"

The second was on Monday for the fourth Bourne film 'Jason Bourne' (it's the fifth if you include the one with Jeremy Renner, which I don't) - attended by Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles and director Paul Greengrass

"Sorry you couldn't win a ticket to see the film at the premiere, bro..."

And the third was on Tuesday for 'Star Trek Beyond', attended by Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, Idris Elba.... and as I was already in the cinema by then (!!) I was unable to photograph director Justin Lin. Oh, well....!

"Feel free to call me 'Cap' if you want...."

Coming up : it's a bit quiet - there's another Sunday premiere this weekend, there's a Harry Potter theatre opening, and rumours abound on the topic of whether (and if so, when) there'll be a Suicide Squad premiere.
