8th-9th-10th May, 2016
Three events in three days doesn't happen often, and these were three pretty big ones (and actually, the 7th wasn't exactly quiet either, as I went to the Composer Brian Tyler concert (it was excellent).
The first was on Sunday 8th : The Television Baftas at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank, attended by the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake (as well as people actually better known for BEING on TV!):
The next day was the "Global Fan Screening" of X-Men : Apocalypse, which despite the dubious title was actually rather well-attended, not just with Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Sophie Turner, but also numerous others from the cast. And for the second event in a row, I shot the event from OUTSIDE the event (anything for a unique angle)
Then, finally, it was the European premiere for Alice Through the Looking Glass. At this one, my third consecutive "shoot the event from outside the event" strategy didn't work so well. Sure, I photographed Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska, but the interior of Leicester Square was a much more interesting place than my rather dull patch of blue carpet near the cinema entrance...
It's a bit of a quiet period for the next little while... I'll see what I can do to keep myself from getting bored in the meantime. This means if you're ever going to approach me to shoot your wedding, film set, sporting event or stage production, this could be your chance.
