The Maze Runner event (aka: remaining skeptical about Apple events)

It's not that they're not welcome, and not that they don't get some fantastic guests, it's just that there's a certain 'surprise' factor at play when what I will call 'The Biggest Company On The Planet' hosts an event for a new Young Adult franchise, invites its director and four biggest stars... and then only allows enough space for about 40 people to sit down and about 50-60 to stand in a massive scrum to hear them talk. Guys... you could afford to buy LONDON. You could afford to build a six storey theatre on top of or gigantic subterranean lair / auditorium underneath your building.... or fly people out to a volcanic island. A small minitheatre next to the genius bar and the iPad Mini counter isn't really the way to go.

I'm not complaining (or rather I am, but not in a massive way) - I'll still happily take that over my boring-a55 life any time. But still... I'll point it out.

"Watch this movie or I'll keep freestyle Rapping. Oh, and it's out in October so settle in for a long wait"

Oh, and I also back-filled two more premieres from when I was still in Sydney in 2011 - the original World Premiere of "Thor" (Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Kenneth Branagh and Jaimie Alexander attended that, while Anthony Hopkins and then-pregnant Natalie Portman did not), and also the large premiere for "Water for Elephants" which closed down Pitt Street Mall and was attended by both R-Patz and R-Withs.
