In 'Reatlime' where I live in 2014, there were two events in the past week. The first was the premiere for the new Daniel Radcliffe movie "What If?" which was attended by The Man Himself, in all his effusively enthusiastic glory.
There was a second premiere scheduled, but it proved to be a walk-in only. That means stars arrive and get interviewed inside a cinema, and there's no guests, red carpet, barriers, security.... or glitz or glamour. In other words... not my thing. That was for the movie "Hector and the Search for Happiness"... although I did manage to get to the Apple Store event with Simon Pegg and director Peter Chelsom. No journal for that one though, sorry.
Other than that, I finished uploading the whole remainder of 2009 premiere journals, which encompass all of London Film Festival and the large end-of-year premieres for which I layer up, complain about the cold, and admit to myself they're probably my favourite. The biggest of those included:
The Fantastic Mr Fox (with George Clooney, Wes Anderson and Bill Murray)
The Lovely Bones (with Peter Jackson and TRH Charles and Camilla)
Nine (with Daniel Day-Lewis, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, and Judi Dench)
Avatar's World premiere (with James Cameron and the majority of the cast)
Sherlock Holmes (with Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Jnr, Jude Laws and the lovely Rachel McAdams)
And I bought the domain name "premieres.photography" to go with "premieres.co" which I already own. Boom!
