So that was the 2014 London Film Festival...

10th October, 2014.

So BFI London Film Festival is over for another year, and in contrast to prior years, this time I made a valiant effort to attend as many premieres, large or small, as possible. In the end, I missed all but three days and about six premieres I would have liked to go to.... on the other hand, I did do a fair few:

The Imitation Game - Benedict Cumberbatch! Keira Knightley!
Men, Women and Children
- Ansel Elgort! Jason Reitman! Rain!
Bypass
- Charlotte Spencer!
Rose Water
- Jon Stewart! Rain!
Kung Fu Jungle
- Donnie Yen! Heavier Rain!
Testament of Youth
- Kit Harrington! Dominic West!
Love Is Strange
- Alfred Molina!
Whiplash
- JK Simmons! BIBLICAL rain!
Foxcatcher
- Steve Carrell! Sienna Miller!
A Little Chaos
- Alan Rickman!
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (not sure if this was BFI or not)
- James McAvoy!
Fury
- Brad Pitt! Shia LaBeouf! Logan Lerman! Michael Pena! David Ayer!

And while the BFI showed their Top Fifteen Photos of this year's festival, I'm not quite capable of quite as dramatic vantagepoints. Still, it was a fun time. And there's already a premiere in the bank from today (journal to follow)

My top five (or perhaps 'most representative') shots:

Benedict Cumberbatch deduces EVERYTHING about our host at the premiere of The Imitation Game

Ansel Elgort and fans at the premiere of Men Women and Children

More and heavier rain, and JK Simmons glaring cheerily at the premiere of Whiplash

Alan Rickman almost but not quite manages a smile at the premiere of "A Little Chaos"

I'm already looking forward to getting my first proper night's sleep in ages... I sometimes forget I don't actually get paid to do this!
