Four the fourth release in a row (after Doctor Strange, Rogue One and Beauty & the Beast), yesterday for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2, everyone's favourite multinational, franchise-building, public domain appropriating conglomerate Disney decided to fly all the stars to London, put them up in hotels, book out a venue, fill it with media and ticket holders, surround it with barriers and security....
.... and then decline to have the stars interact with fans in any way possible.
About an hour before the screening, and not even waving on the way in, they had their blacked-out-window silver Mercedes cars drive directly into the venue without even slowing down.
In future, I'd ask your accountants whether it wouldn't be cheaper to hire some American security firm to blag-bag, kidnap and transport journalists into international waters and dump them onto a boat where you can beat them up and force them to write positive reviews?
That way you don't have to disappoint people who might have appreciated as little as a wave from the stars you spent all that money to transport all this way?
ps. Yeah, I'm an over-entitled whiner. But it's not like I asked for a lot - you had a full setup and even a clear unobstructed, secured path your stars could have taken into the venue where fans could have seen them. And you didn't. Because....?
