Well, as usual London Film Festival provided me with plenty of opportunities for Quantity (over, perhaps, quality) : of the many options, I think I managed to get to all but three of the premieres I could reasonably have expected to attend : one of those I missed because I was too conservative, one I missed due to another event’s timing being rescheduled, and one I missed because I was over-correcting for a mistake I made the prior evening. Oh, well:
Premieres covered for BFI London Film Festival 2018:
Day 1 : Widows
Day 2 : Colette
Day 3 : The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
Day 4 : Roma, Beautiful Boy, Wilderness
Day 5 : The Front Runner (incl. Alfonso Cuaron talk)
Day 6 : Wild Rose, Life Itself
Day 7 : Suspiria
Day 8 : Outlaw King
Day 9 : The White Crow, The Favourite
Day 10 : Can You Ever Forgive Me, Assassination Nation
Day 11 : A Private War
Day 12 : Stan & Ollie
To “celebrate”, I also put together a commentary-less “Best Of” in the form of a RedCarpetMonochrome journal which is here.
And then, after just one day off, a World Premiere presented itself, for:
Day 14 : Bohemian Rhapsody!
… I assume it’ll be quieter than this for a while, now….
