September 21st, 2015.
Just one day ago I was risking a mild suntan at the world premiere of 'Pan'... one day later I was holding an umbrella over cute Israeli tourists at the premiere of a much less kid-friendly film.
Here's how it went down:
Rather amazingly, our part of the crowd was told that if we wanted to stay and watch the film, they'd actually be giving out free tickets to see the movie as they had some surplus leftovers!! That hardly NEVER happens (though weirdly it did happen for 'Edge of Tomorrow' so I'd definitely like to imply that Emily Blunt has twice asked me to watch a movie with her.
So... that was kind of great! I did enjoy the movie - not quite what I expected (slightly more disquieting than I was prepared for, even for a movie about drug smuggling in the USA if that can be believed), but certainly impressive.
(This promo was not paid for... but may have been influenced by freeness).
(On wich note : Dear Disney : why not try to see if you can get me to be even *slightly* optimistic about the upcoming Star Wars film? You know... after having a marketing plan that involves bludgeoning people with merchandise on sale a quarter of a year before the film release? I'll tell you when you can stop delivering dumptrucks full of money at my place)
Anyway : good times with freeness with thanks to Lionsgate. And another movie for my "Archive of Movie Premieres"
Until next time!
