Twas the night before the "Prometheus" world premiere, and I had other things I could have been doing today. Specifically preparing for "TOMORROW'S PROMETHEUS WORLD PREMIERE". But, in the end, as I usually do, I decided that premieres require photographing. Even premieres for films I have little interest in watching (which theoretically also applies to "What to Expect When You're Expecting" but that had significantly more high-profile actresses).
Still... here's how it went down (yo),
The movie is "Ill Manors" and it's written and directed by Ben Drew. If you haven't heard of him, he's also a musician called Plan B. And if you haven't heard of HIM then... yeah. Kind of turn away now, I guess.
But before we get started, here's some rain. Because there's nothing quite like queuing for a premiere you don't really want to intrinsically photograph... and then it starts to rain. (The other thing would be for the premiere to start about an hour late. This one did that too!)
We Shared A Moment near the giant Prometheus poster. (And I like to think that all Great romances that not based upon feuding families do actually start like this).
Actor Stephen Graham was in Scorcese's 'Gangs of New York' and the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film. But crucially not this movie.
It's time for another round of my favourite Premiere Game : Chose the Famous Person, and choose the not-so-famous person. Is it the guy on the right, or the guy on the left?
(Answer : Tragically, the guy on the right appears NOT to be famous, though he does remind me of a guy I photographed and theorised might be "Not Nicolas Cage" at the "Johnny English Reborn" premiere last year)
It's NICK SAGAR!! I'll leave you to ponder the inevitable follow-up question "who is Nick Sagar?"

On the right : singer and TV judge Alesha Dixon. On the left : scarily focussed fan. Dude looks like he's taking a photograph for an alibi or something.
I'm not overly familiar with the filmography of actress Jo Hartley, but insofar as premieres are concerned, she was at 'The Young Victoria'. Or at least in that film.
Tragically, the girl on the right is referred to as 'and guest' on wireimage when posing with people who are in the movie, while the guy on the left is not identified at all. Personally, I think anybody who points at somebody like she does deserves to be asked what her name is by a media organisation more influential than what I shall laughingly refer to as Mine. That is all.
Famous or not, The Pose is worth commemorating
Maverick Sabre. He's a singer. He's not in the film. All we really need is for Dexter Fletcher to show up - he's not in this film either.
Jo Hartley is short. Or that man is really tall. That's all I've got. Tomorrow is the Prometheus premiere and I don't have leftovers to heat for dinner tonight or tomorrow night so in short, I have other things on my mind.
Potential cast members, or Jo Hartley and three 'and guests'? I don't know... but I hope the guy in the background can swing it so he's a potential FOURTH 'and guests'. I feel he deserves it.
This dude walked into the cinema unnoticed and then was led out of the theatre to the waiting paparazzi, who photographed him. I've since checked wireimage, which doesn't list him, and also imdb.com's entry on the movie, which also doesn't list him. At this point, I think I should add some self-portraits and photos of pigeons
Meanwhile in the growing genre of 'shots of people looking off frame to my right", it's Ed Sheeran (he's the dude in the front. The guy in the back might almost certainly have an equally intriguing back-story I'm not aware of). To my knowledge, however, neither of them are in this film.
Anouska Mond (left) is in this film. And I believe her purple dress has a separate agent.
The lady on the right is Natalie Press, who (unlike so many) is actually in this film. The dude on the left has an awesomely expressive face in every photo I took, but I don't know if he's in the movie. If he's a random street performer / interloper, then Well Played, Sir
"I'll answer your next question as soon as the dude to my left translates it into Swedish for my international fans". Plan B (aka. Ben Drew) directed and wrote this film. And has a music career.
Wretch 32 (centre) is a singer and I have actually heard of him. He's recently been interviewed by BBC Radio1 and he seems very, VERY cool. That said... he's not in this film.
"I just heard about a really REALLY good deal on Lion King tickets so I'm kind of thinking of bailing on this thing even though it's my movie. Anybody mind? No?"
"Dude, I know you loved The Avengers, but you could also try to be slightly LESS proud of your Robert Downey Jnr beard if you wanted. I'm just saying...." The guy with the awesome beard, by the way, is called Riz Ahmed. The beard truly is awesome.
"You're taking a photo of yourself a a premiere rather than one with ME at MY PREMIERE OF MY MOVIE? Dude, that's hurtful and kind of insulting.... and kind of insanely cool at the same time."
Finally, this is actor Ed Skrein. If Charlize Theron looks at me like this tomorrow, my id, ego, and superego are all going to leave and leave me to deal with it on my own.
Oh, but I do love this shot. It's very confronting...
So, for completeness' (if not chronological accuracy's) sake, it's another premiere for "The Archive of Movie Premieres" and tomorrow, of course, I ended up going to the "World Premiere of Prometheus"
