Although this movie seems to be based on some kind of super-heavy romance, the lead actress was (I feel) worth sitting through a couple of hours standing around listening to the trailer being played over and over and over.. (no regrets!)
Location : Westfield Shepherds Bush. Given forecasts of rain, not the worst place for a premiere. Given the white balance issues created by a PINK carpet? Maybe a little less so. (My position next to the escalators was highly strategic.)
Tim weighed up the immediate pay-off of a snappy height-joke against the possibility that Kate would one day notice him and his silent (and not at all creepy) infatuation with her.
Radio1's Edith Bowman was the compere for the premiere. Also spotted : autocue with questions and narrative. (I probably couldn't ask articulate questions in the presence of Anne Hathaway either...).
I first noted Anne Hathaway in the film "The Devil Wears Prada" which I felt was a reasonable homage to Star Wars at the time. (Evil Emperor, apprentice, redemption, etc.) (Hey, it passed the time)
Jim Sturgess was in '21' which I didn't watch, and 'The Other Boleyn Girl' where I totally didn't notice him. With Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman being the lead actresses I'll be fairly honest I'm even a bit hazy on the plot.
I.... don't know who this is. As usual, probably more a reflection on my abilities rather than her publicist's

Jane Goldman is married to broadcaster/comedian Jonathan Ross. However, as I don't find him particularly funny I'm more impressed by her : among other things she was one of the screenwriters of the movie Kick-Ass. (Woo!)
Actress Jodie Whittaker contorts to sign an autograph for a fan. She's in the film, and was also at the premiere for (and potentially movie of) St Trinians 2 : The Legend of Fritton's Gold
"Hi, I'm writer David Nicholls and I wrote the movie you were in"
"I know!"
"Right, right?"
"Yes, I'm Catwoman in the next Chris Nolan Batman movie. And y'all, I promise I won't let you down". Weird casting, sure. But in Nolan We Trust.
Anne Hathaway was nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award for 'Rachel Getting Married (2008)' (as opposed to, say, 'Bride Wars (2009)' or 'Hoodwinked', 'The Princess Diaries', or 'Get Smart') (hey, she and The Rock were the only things watchable in Get Smart!)
I wouldn't ordinarily post a photo of Peaches Geldof, however she looks reasonable in this shot (and I probably should put in a break before I return to a cavalcade of more Anne Hathaway shots...)
Oh, look. It's the lead actor. But he's a guy and the cast, crew, and guest list are seemingly all female, so moving right along... (to be fair, he sounds like a very nice guy)
Actress Romola Garai has a small role in this film. I recognise her from the film/premiere for "The Glorious 39", a movie that a friend of mine was in. True story!
I've forgotten this dude's name, but he was interviewed on stage. He's not up on wireimage yet.
Director Lone Scherfig is from Denmark and also directed the movie "An Education (2009)" which scored three Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. And I was at the premiere of.
Anne Hathaway returns from posing for the massive assemblage of Paparazzi, and the possible awesomeness of my position near the escalators begins to become clear. (Less so when security allow more people to crowd in the pen right in front of me. Oh, dear.)
The Pentax 31mm f1.8 FA Limited is one of the greatest prime lenses on the planet (look it up people!). However, it also has a minimum focussing distance. Who knew? (Come on, who expects to get within minimum focussing distance of Anne Hathaway on any given Tuesday?)
One last shot? Okay, then!
So... I quite enjoyed that, all things considered. Does it join "The Archive of Movie Premieres"? Yes it does.
