I'm running a half-marathon this Sunday, and my training regime has consisted mainly of, well, photography and buying new sneakers. So today was going to be the day for some training. Until I learned that there was a premiere in London - and it was for 'The Hangover', the main female lead of which was the gorgeous Heather Graham.
If I'm honest, this was still not a particularly difficult choice nor one I felt likely to regret.
The Hangover. It happens to the best of us. Maybe even Yellow Cap Guy, whose lack of attendance was puzzling...

Heather Graham. I can name at least three movies of the 1990s that I had no intention of watching that I ended up seeing for no other reason than she was in them ('Lost in Space', 'Bowfinger' and 'Boogie Nights'). Ten years later and she still looks staggeringly good.
I'm not sure what's going on, but I suspect actor Bradley Cooper has been approached by a scalper to purchase tickets to his own premiere.
I ... don't actually have anything to add... Heather Graham wore a blue dress. ....and that is all.
Heather Graham has a boyfriend (purple suit, to her right) and a leading man (blue suit, on her left). But I have eye contact. Won't you please tell me I have eye-contact???
This is Zach Galifianakis. Near as I can tell, in the trailer he urinates on a tiger and bangs a toddler into the door of a police car. I can honestly say I've only ever wanted to do one of those, and neither in Vegas.
This, imdb informs me, is Justin Bartha. I was accordingly set to profess no knowledge whatsoever as to his existence up til now, but not quite true: he played Nic Cage's sidekick in the two National Treasure films. Very well, then...
Director Todd Phillips also directed Road Trip, Oldschool and Starsky and Hutch. He's apparently had an Oscar nomination but I am not checking that up because if it's for any of those three films, the Academy has some serious questions to answer
According to an interview with Shortlist Magazine, actor Ed Helms actually had one of his teeth extracted for the film after obtaining reassurance from his dentist that it could be reinserted after filming. Intriguing dedication to your craft...
In their defence, it is a massively impressive... uh... dress. Heather Graham is 39 years old. If she keeps that figure by bathing in newborn babies' tears daily, I can't really say I have a problem with that!
I don't suppose I can hope that this sort of thing also happens with Megan Fox at next week's Transformers II premiere? And that I'm at a similar vantagepoint?
And... okay, well, it's a little less graceful
And you know, one day I may regret the lack of training I did prior to a half marathon.... but not this day.
Overall, this premiere was well-organised, accessible, and my location was enviably good.
Also, a citywide tube-strike probably kept crowd numbers down. Please, please, please, let as many of these things be true for the next premiere I'm intending to go to!! (And let me survive my half marathon to get there...)
