February 12th, 2017.
For the seventh time now I've had the good fortune of being able to get a public pen wristband to the BAFTAs red carpet, and for the first time it was held at the Royal Albert Hall (as opposed to the Royal Opera House, which had hosted every one prior to this one that I've been at).
The queue for wristbands on Saturday was cold, but fortunately they handed out the wristbands earlier than promised, and then on Sunday we were loaded into pens for the traditional multi-hour wait for it all to begin. Still, I wouldn't be anywhere else. Here's how it went down:
One day Later...
Enough pre-amble. On with the arrivals.
Note : the reason for the blessed emptiness of the red carpet in the last few arrivals is due mainly due to the fact that it's been mostly cleared for the next arrivals.
So... that's pretty much that. It's 2:31am right now and fortunately I don't have work tomorrow. If this journal is less funny than it might be, it's (a) because I'm tired and it's 2:32am right now, and/or (b) it's sometime after that and I still haven't written anything amusing. Still....
And now there's really only one thing left to do (after I drift and/or drink into the sweet oblivion of sleep):
Pps : If you ever want to know when I post one of these journals (specifically shorter, more to the point and occasionally with commentary made outside the limits of sleep deprivation), feel free to follow me on facebook at premieresdotco, or on twitter at berndt2_photo, or just come back here occasionally and see what's changed.
Until next time!
