London has Premieres. And I have a Camera.
Over the course of an average year. London probably has about 40-60 movie premieres. They're free to attend. You can bring a camera. And then wait for hours. And be pushed and shoved by fans, autograph dealers and teenage girls from Spain grasping desperately at Logan Lerman.
If you want to know whenever I post a new premiere journal,

Lily James and Jessica Brown Findlay at the world premiere for a movie so big they couldn't fit the name of it on the marquee!

Just one day after the snow of the Empire Awards, it's the European premiere for Ready Player One with Steven Spielberg!

Scott Eastwood and I share more of a moment than Daisy Ridley or Alicia Vikander and I in past weeks, at Pacific Rim2

It was Rey, Hux and the lady who plays one of the gold-painted aliens in Guardians of the Galaxy at "Peter Rabbit (2018)"

It's 2018 and I'm back, and not entirely sure whether I should put an exclamation mark here! Premiere #1: "The Mercy"

It's a summary of all this year's premieres (because 71 events deserves to be - somehow - commemorated!)

This year only Star Wars : The Last Jedi is the only premiere to get a commentary-free Red Carpet Monochrome Journal

Lily James Layered up and Layered down, Gary Oldman declined to look up, and that was 'Darkest Hour' in a nutshell

For the second time in two days I (a) have an event, (b) photograph Poppy Delevingne - at the British Fashion Awards.

Claire Foy! Matt Smith! Not one but TWO corgis! - all this for Season2 (World) Premiere of Season2 of Netflix's "The Crown"
Ben Whishaw is the voice of Paddington Bear, and will also sign autographs on the bear's behalf at the sequel's World Premiere.

BFI London Film Festival 2017 ends with Peter Dinklage, Woody Harrelson, Frances McDormand AND Sam Rockwell

Joaquin Phoenix might even have taken those sunglasses off at some point during the "We Were Never Really Here" premiere
Two premieres on Friday 13th - one for 'Downsizing' (no Matt Damon) and one for 'The Florida Project' (no Willem Dafoe)

Jamie Bell, Annette Benning, Elvis Costello and only getting drenched on the way home : Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool

Two premieres within 15mins - the first one here (and above), the second one here (with Bryan Cranston)

"You want me to sign what?" - what indeed, at the World Premiere of 'Goodbye Christopher Robin"

Jennifer Lawrence and I share a moment (in the journal, not here on the homepage!) at the premiere of "Mother!"

Adam Driver doesn't really want to look at all the photos on your phone at the 'Logan Lucky' premiere
OMG it's Harry Styles at a Christopher Nolan movie's world premiere (for Dunkirk)

Michael Bay both signed my Moleskine journal and broke my brain at the Transformers The Last Knight premiere!
You may call me disproportionately proud of my sub-par efforts (and rants) at the non-premiere of 'Beauty and the Beast (2017)'
London wasn't deemed worthy of a full Doctor Strange premiere, so instead there was this near-abomination event.
"Wassup, bro?" Mark Wahlberg was very Bro, (bro,) at the Deepwater Horizon premiere
The world needs more superhero movies. In this case, it's X-Men : Apocalypse that's needed.
Cap and Iron Man hug it out (possibly their mothers have the same first name?) at the Civil War European Premiere
FLASHBACK : in Berlin, Germany for the World Premiere of The Hunger Games : Mockingjay part2!
Scarlett Johansson probably didn't recognise me at The Avengers Age of Ultron European Premiere
I have opinions on movies. There's a decent chance you won't agree with them.
Who Am I?
I'm not currently working on an autobiography or anything, but if you need some kind of reassurance that I'm not some front for a multi-global media empire (yet).

A 'family gala screening' for "Sherlock Gnomes" on a Sunday morning turns out to have some decent attendees!

Dwayne Johnson has charms to soothe the savage beast (but not Charlie Chaplin lookalikes or autograph dealers) at "Rampage"

Rain!Umbrellas!Cuba Gooding Jnr!The Hamilton Cast! And Time'sUp Badges. Lots of those. At the 2018 Olivier Awards.

I've had worse, but it's usually involved Disney in some way. Also *technically* this wasn't a premiere, for "A Quiet Place"

It's the 2018 Empire Awards, and in flagrant contradiction of the 'science' of weather forecasting : SNOW!

I don't usually risk being banned from premieres for standing where I am, but when I do it's for a Disney movie starring Oprah.

Alicia Vikander is pretty, but director Roar Uthaug's name is more awesome sounding, at 'Tomb Raider (2018)'

Premiere #2 for the year : Margot Robbie and Allison Janney for "I, Tonya". (And 'We, the crazed autograph dealers' attended)

2017 Finishes (for me) with arguably the biggest premiere of the year - the European premiere of Star Wars : The Last Jedi

Jessica Chastain and I share a moment (but not my warm thinsulate beanie) at the premiere of "Molly's Game"

With Cate Blanchett Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield, does it matter I don't know theatre at the Evening Standard Awards?

"I've been instructed not to comment on anything outside a narrow range to do with this movie" at Daddy's Home2

The "Murder on the Orient Express" world premiere was so large no one photo can do it justice... but here goes! More here

The 2017 Pride of Britain Awards - I'm neither British nor Proud, but I went and they let me in anyway.

It's over for another year : BFI London Film Festival 2017 - this is the b'n'w only gallery of highlights and links

Nicole Kidman! Colin Farrell! Lens flares! Raffey Cassidy! (Emma Stone! Nicholas Hoult!) - The Killing of a Sacred Deer

It was an indoor venue in a corridor / stairwell, but it still counts, 'cause it's DAVID FINCHER!! (for Mindhunter)

"If you could work the name of this event's sponsor into your answer, that would be awesome" - at "Battle of the Sexes"

Carey Mulligan expresesess herself with rare and classy eloquence at the BFI LFF premiere for 'Mudbound'

Not one but FIVE Oscar winners at an action-comedy spy sequel Premiere, too : Kingsman - The Golden Circle.

Luke Skywalker prefers to go by the name 'Mark Hamill' when he's attending the 2017 GQ Awards...
I've finally photographed Oscar/Bafta-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (at the 'Detroit' Premiere)
It's Rihanna, and she's wearing the dress Rihanna wore at"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets"
Ansel Elgort, Lily Driver, and lots of screaming from female fans at the Baby Driver European Premiere
A second premiere in Berlin - for Fast & Furious 8 (Are Berlin premieres the new normal? Probably not but I'll keep it in mind)
Tom Hiddleston drew the crowd to Kong : Skull Island, but Brie Larson is pretty... and I'm somewhat shallow.
It's the 2017 Baftas and I was dressed considerably warmer (albeit less stylishly) than Emma Stone
Cara Delevingne and I share a moment. Well... one of us does. (at the "Suicide Squad" European premiere)
James Bond's 'SPECTRE' - the premiere so big I started writing the journal the day before when they were still setting it up!
